Save the date! We will be running our popular Summer Fair on Saturday 22nd June 2024.

Thank you to everyone who bought our Hoopa Loompa bars yesterday. With your help we raised a fantastic £534 to support the school – thank you! And thanks also to our volunteers who designed, bought, re-wrapped, and sold them.
We want to offer our apologies to those who were unable to buy a Hoopa bar. The demand was far greater than at any previous after-school sale, and far exceeded our expectations and ability to supply this time around.
We also understand that holding sales after school only made it impossible for some kids to buy one – and we hope to be able to work around this by offering more ways to buy in advance, as well as more stock, in future. This will require us to acquire a specific lottery licence, which wasn’t possible at short notice this time.
But we will need your help. We are all volunteers, and to supply many hundreds of bars, to handle licensing, pre-ordering, wrapping and distribution will require more people to pitch in – so can you help us make our next sale even bigger and better? You can reach us via email, or join our WhatsApp volunteer group – all the details are here.
All parents, carers & staff are hereby invited to attend Coopers Lane PTA’s Annual General Meeting:
Wednesday 21st February 2024, 7.30pm for 7.45pm at Grove Park Library.
Online participation and voting will be available – please register here.
As per our constitution, we will be disbanding the current committee and re-electing all roles. The roles up for re-election are:
- Chair
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Trustees
If you are interested in potentially filling any of the above roles, and would like to discuss what’s involved, please drop the committee a line and we’ll be happy to chat: pta@cooperslane.org.
Thank you, and we hope to see you there!

Summer Fair – 24th June
The Coopers Lane Summer Fair is a highlight of every year, with students, friends and family getting together to have a great time while also raising thousands of pounds to support the school. This year it’ll be taking place on Saturday 24th June.
Organising the fair takes months – and we’re already well underway, with new food vendors, fun and games for the kids and local businesses booked to attend. But there’s one more thing we need: your help.
The fair lasts for four hours, and with over a dozen stalls we need plenty of adults to help keep everything up and running. If we can get a good number of people signed up then we can share the work out in one hour slots – giving everyone plenty of time to enjoy the event as well.
If you can volunteer – either for one hour during the fair, or before, or after – that would be a huge help. Please register using the form below, and we will be in touch nearer the time to confirm a slot. Thank you!
The Coopers Lane Summer Fair will return on Saturday 24th June. One of the ways we promote the fair, and raise funds for the school, is in partnership with Waymour and Parr estate agents, who post boards around the area. Each board promotes the fair, and we receive a donation in exchange for each one.
If you can host a board outside your house for a few weeks this Spring it’s one of the easiest ways to raise funds for the school.
The boards are put up and taken away by Waymour and Parr – all you have to do is have space for one. If you can help, please complete this form and we will do everything else – thank you!
Thanks to everyone who came to our Christmas treats sale on Thursday! With your support we sold almost everything and raised over £350 for the school.
Special thanks also to Amanda for making so many snowmen and bags of reindeer food and to Nicola and Clare for our amazing new PTA bunting!
Coats and Costumes – £247 Raised!
Thanks to everyone who participated in our Coats and Costumes sale on 20th October.
We were overwhelmed by the number of donated items, and also by the turnout on the day – thanks to everyone who showed up despite the less-than-ideal weather.
We raised a grant total of just under £250 for the school.
Summer Fair 2022
Thank you so much to everyone who came along to our Summer Fair this year. We’re thrilled to say that it was our biggest and most successful fundraising event to date. At the end of a very busy day we had raised a total of £7133 for the school – a huge step towards our target for the year of £20,000.
Special thanks to all the volunteers who helped us prepare for, set up and run the fair on the day – whether it was making posters, fixing bikes, sending emails or running a stall for hours on a hot and busy Saturday. Your support is what makes this kind of event possible.
Save the Date: Summer Fair
We are so excited that our biggest fundraising event of the year is back on Saturday 25 June from 12noon – 4pm. The Fair is a really important fundraising event for the school and after a hiatus of two years, we are really hopeful that all the parents, kids & staff will support the Fair this year, and raise loads of money for the new library!
This year our theme is the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, so expect to see lots of bunting, balloons and cake! Some of the stalls at this year’s event include:
- Bouncy castle
- Penalty Shoot Out
- A bar with Prosecco, beers and more (over 18s, obviously)
- Dough n Go Pizza
- The Greek Way meze
- Ice cream
- Cake & Sweet Treat stalls
- Face painters
- Family fair games
- Arts & crafts activity stalls
- A photo booth with a 40s/50s theme
- SPECIAL GUEST APPEARANCE FROM DJ MOLEY MOLE!
We will be also be running our ever so popular cake competition, which is open to all ages, a Royal portrait competition that all the kids can get involved in and a raffle with some amazing prizes.
Want to get involved? There are so many ways you can help:
- Could you run an activity or games stall, or volunteer to help on the day?
- Could your employer donate a raffle prize?
- Are you a local business who could run a stall in our ‘Creative Coopers Marketplace’ – a pitch costs £25 for the day?
- Do you run a food business? Would you like to sell at the Fair?
- Are you part of a community group that could run a fun activity or perform on our stage?
- Are you an experienced Face Painter or know someone who is? We need more people to support our most popular stall!
- Could we put an advertising board outside your home? It costs you nothing but the school gets a donation for each (click here!)
Please contact us for details on any of the above.
And of course please do come along and enjoy yourself on the day!
